Course:
With a total of 7 feet elevation gain this race course must be one of the flattest around. This out and back course starts at the edge of the Atlantic Ocean. On your left - nothing but white sand and the roaring surf. It then travels less than 1/2 mile on Broadway to the Salisbury Beach State reservation road.
Here you will be treated to a wide expanse of pristined sections of the Great salt marsh with beautiful views and world class bird watching. Several trails come off of this road which you should check out in warmer months! On your way back be sure to give friends the high five - as you head to the Blue Ocean Music Hall for a much deserved Smuttynose brew.

Salisbury Beach State Reservation is one of the state's most popular ocean beaches, stretching 3.8 miles along the Atlantic Ocean. This 521-acre park offers swimming, boating, fishing, and camping, and is very popular with trailer campers. Facilities include a 484-site campground with renovated bathhouses, an extensive day-use parking lot, three new comfort stations for the beach- going public with boardwalks over the dunes, and a new playground and pavilion area. The facility also has two boat ramps on the Merrimack River at the campground's southern edge.
